The European Commission Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion cordially invites you to the EQAVET Peer Learning Activity “The role of quality assurance in advancing basic skills in VET”, taking place on Microsoft Teams on 4-5 November 2025.

The PLA will be held in a virtual format, using the Microsoft Teams platform, and will run over two half days (morning sessions).

Topic of the PLA
The PLA will address ‘The role of quality assurance in advancing basic skills in VET’ (read more about the topic via the registration link). Within this context, this PLA provides an opportunity for participants to address the following questions:

• How can quality assurance help to advance basic skills in VET in the Member States, and what lessons can be learnt from current practice and existing challenges?
• How can quality assurance be used to support the goals of the Action Plan, including the guidelines on basic skills in VET and the toolkit for basic skills in apprenticeships?
• Would there be added value in developing an EQAVET sub-framework for basic skills and if yes, how should it be formulated and applied?
