As technology rapidly transform the world, the need for digital skills is growing faster than ever. Globally, over 60% of employees need to upskill or reskill to match the pace of technological change by 2027.
The Global Skills Academy (GSA) was established as part of the Global Education Coalition (GEC) at UNESCO, with the mission to support ten million youth and adults worldwide in building skills for improved employability and resilience by 2029. Through strong partnerships with private sectors such as Huawei, Microsoft, IBM and Cisco, GSA leverages strategic partnerships and mobilizes over 245 TVET institutions across 152 countries within UNESCO and the UNEVOC Network.
